Greetings! I’ve always been a very visual person, so my BA degree in Arts & Media with a Design emphasis from GVSU was a good investment. My wife Mollie and I have worked together now for 29 years (good thing she doesn’t own a gun). We have four wonderful children, Garry, Ann, Madeline, and Sarah. We recently adopted an 8 year old rescue collie, “Lilah”...and a good example of the expression “Who Rescued Who”. I’m “kinda-sort-of” Gray haired these days (OK for a long time now), but I’m young at heart, and enjoy working out daily in the mornings.
My goal in life “Is to be the best steward for all my blessings”. I love sharing those blessing with just about anyone, but the girls at Casa Amparo, a girls shelter/orphanage in Reynosa Mexico, have a very special place in my heart. I’m also actively involved in the Rotary Club of Kalamazoo, SWMI Chapter of the American Marketing Association, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, and enjoy gardening, photography, and enjoy an occasional good laugh with dorm room day friends. |

I graduated from Grand Valley State Colleges (yes, it was “state colleges” then) with a BA in Political Science, and a minor in Public Administration. I managed the BA by taking German so I could speak to my future in-laws (well, out-talk Dan) and suffering through Music history. Those who know me understand I am not a big music person; my favorite radio station is SCAN.
I have been in the Printing and Promotional Products field, full time, since 1988. Although I am the Accounting person, I work in all areas of the business. Before that, I worked on Capitol Hill for the House Banking Committee. Politics remains a passion of mine. My life is centered around my immediate family and extended family. I have worked with Dan since we were married, starting with doing the accounting and then moving into every category since. We live in a house adjoining a 175 + year old farm that has been in our family since before Michigan was a state! After a hard day there is really nothing better than walking the farm with a glass of red wine and our dog Lilah. What else I do: I am on my church’s Vestry, Schoolcraft Lions Club, and proud supporter of Grand Valley State University. I love to cook and travel. My ideal vacation is a cruise to a warm tropical area. I spend free time walking, cooking, reading, and traveling all over to visit my 4 children and extended family. |
